Treyton Welch — Out
Welch had appeared in five of the Saints' first six games but will be in street clothes for the contest in France while New Orleans keeps just three tight ends active (Juwan Johnson, Noah Fant and Oscar Delp). In his prior five outings, Welch had drawn just one target while seeing the bulk of his snaps on special teams.
Nathan Shepherd — Out
Shepherd had missed the Saints' previous two games while recovering from an illness, but he appeared to have moved past the ailment after he was a full participant in practices Wednesday and Thursday. Unfortunately for Shepherd, he appears to have experienced a setback in his recovery, as he was unable to practice in any capacity Friday and then took a questionable tag into Sunday. The Saints will hold him out for one more game, but with a bye on tap in Week 8, Shepherd could be ready to resume playing in the team's following game Nov. 8 versus the Browns.
Cesar Ruiz — Out
Ruiz will be forced to miss his first game of the season while he gets more time to recover from the knee injury that kept him out for the entire second half of the Saints' Week 6 win over the Giants. After opening the week as a non-participant in the Saints' first two practices, Ruiz practiced in a limited fashion Friday before taking a questionable tag into Sunday. With a bye on tap Week 8, Ruiz stands a good chance at returning to the lineup for the Saints' Week 9 matchup with the Browns on Nov. 8.

Jordyn Tyson — Injured Reserve
Tyson made the trip to Paris ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Steelers, but he's not ready to have his 21-day practice window opened just yet. While the Saints haven't provided many specifics regarding where Tyson stands in his recovery from a right hamstring strain beyond noting that he's "improving," the team has a bye coming Week 8, so rookie wideout will be afforded more time to get closer to 100 percent before potentially getting back on the field. If Tyson is able to resume practicing coming out of the bye week, he could be a candidate to make his NFL debut as soon as Nov. 8, when the Saints host the Browns.

Jordyn Tyson — Injured Reserve
Tyson has been sidelined since mid-August due to a right hamstring strain, but the Saints' decision to include him in their travel party to France could be a sign that his 21-day practice window will be opened this week. While Tyson would have a chance at making his NFL debut against the Steelers if he practices this week, the Saints may prefer to hold him out through their Week 8 bye to give him additional time to heal. Whenever he makes his way back from injured reserve, the No. 8 overall pick in the draft could immediately push Devaughn Vele for the No. 2 spot on the depth chart at receiver behind Chris Olave.
Nathan Shepherd — Out
Shepherd will be sidelined for a second consecutive game due to an illness, which prevented him from participating in any practice during Week 6 prep. Rookie second-rounder Christen Miller should see a bump in defensive snaps due to the absence of Shepherd, whose next opportunity to play is Week 7 against the Steelers on Sunday, Oct. 25.
Zach Wilson — Out
As the emergency third quarterback, Wilson is not allowed to play Sunday unless both Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler leave the game due to injury, illness or ejection.
