Devaughn Vele — Active
The third-year wideout was on the other end of Tyler Shough's only TD pass of the day, hauling in a one-yard toss in the second quarter for the Saints' final points. Vele tied his career high with his third touchdown of the season, and his 33-348-3 line on 48 targets through seven games has him tracking toward a career-best campaign heading into a Week 8 bye. His role could shrink significantly after the bye, however, if rookie Jordyn Tyson (hamstring) is cleared to make his NFL debut.
Devaughn Vele — Active
Vele was on the field for 66 of the Saints' 70 offensive snaps (94.3 percent), which was well ahead of fellow wideouts Chris Olave (42) and rookie Bryce Lance (36). Vele has seen at least six targets in each of the first six games of the regular season, and his 28-294-2 line on 43 targets already surpasses his totals across 13 regular-season games in 2025 (25-293-2 on 40 targets). Given his snap count, it wouldn't be surprising if Vele maintains his role in the offense even if Jordyn Tyson (hamstring, IR) returns, which could come as soon as Week 7 against the Steelers on Oct. 25 in Paris.
Devaughn Vele — Active
Vele finished in a three-way tie with Chris Olave and Juwan Johnson for the team lead in receptions and also drew even with Olave for top slotting in targets. However, that meant little on a day when Tyler Shough was held to 3.8 yards per attempt by an aggressive Vikings defense and finished with just 96 passing yards overall. Vele's quiet afternoon notwithstanding, the third-year wideout has now seen at least six targets in each game and has impressively converted 14 of his 25 receptions into first downs. Vele will take a 25-252-2 line on 37 targets into a Week 6 road matchup against the Giants next Sunday.
Devaughn Vele — Active
Vele tied for second in receptions and checked in as the runner-up in targets for the Saints on the night, and he rounded out a solid fantasy performance by recording a three-yard touchdown reception with 1:13 remaining. The score was ultimately meaningless to the outcome of the lopsided loss, but Vele further cemented his standing as a relatively high-volume No. 2 receiver by tying his season high in targets. Vele will take a 21-226-2 line on 31 targets into a Week 5 home matchup against the Vikings on Sunday.
Devaughn Vele — Active
Tyler Shough had another big day at quarterback for the Saints, with 160 of his 255 passing yards going to the combination of No. 1 wideout Chris Olave and top tight end Juwan Johnson. Vele finished third behind that duo in both targets (six) and receiving yards (39). The third-year wideout has been locked into a key role in the Saints' passing game, and through three contests he's registered 15 catches on 22 targets for 172 yards and one touchdown.
