Recent official rulings
Chris Youngblood — Out
It's unclear at this time whether Youngblood is still dealing with an ankle injury, or if this decision is simply because he's on a two-way contract. Either way, he's yet to make his 2026-27 debut and will need to wait at least until Thursday against the Grizzlies to do so.
Chris Youngblood — Out
Youngblood will have to wait to make his 2026-27 season debut, and he'll miss a second consecutive game while dealing with left ankle soreness. His next chance to play will come against the Lakers on Tuesday, Nov. 27.
Branden Carlson — Out
Carlson is still in the league's concussion protocol and will remain on the inactive list for a second consecutive contest to begin the regular season. The big man's next opportunity to play will come Tuesday against the Lakers.

Chris Youngblood — Out
Youngblood will miss his third consecutive preseason contest due to lingering left calf soreness. It's unknown if he will be available for Opening Night versus Phoenix.
Branden Carlson — Out
Carlson spent the first two years of his career in the Thunder organization, making four starts across 74 regular-season appearances. He averaged 5.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.6 blocks on 11.6 minutes per game in 2025-26, and he will add depth at the center position. He's not expected to be a major factor in most fantasy formats, however, as he'll probably compete with Yang Hansen and Sidy Cissoko for the third-string center role behind Donovan Clingan and Robert Williams.
Branden Carlson — Out
Carlson will miss the Trail Blazers' regular-season opener while in the league's concussion protocol. His next chance to make his regular-season debut with the club will come Friday in Sacramento.
Chris Youngblood — Out
Youngblood missed Portland's final three preseason games due to left calf soreness, but now it's his left ankle that's giving him trouble. His next chance to play will come Friday in Sacramento.
Shaedon Sharpe — Out
It's a tough blow to the Trail Blazers' depth on the wing ahead of training camp. Sharpe, who is now likely to be sidelined until after the All-Star break, had been ticketed for a reserve role behind Toumani Camara following an injury-plagued 2025-26 campaign, which saw average a career-high 20.8 points, 1.4 steals and 2.1 three-pointers per game over 50 regular-season appearances. The door is now open for Vit Krejci and Jeremy Sochan to compete for bench minutes during camp.
