Injury & Status History
A running log of this player's status changes — each entry links to the original source.
Ja'Kobi Lane — Active
Lane finished second on the team in targets behind fellow wideout Zay Flowers (11), and he was able to reel in at least three passes for the second straight week. With Lamar Jackson (ankle) nearing a return to action, Lane may be able to establish himself as a reliable red-zone threat for Baltimore moving forward this season. The rookie's next chance to record his first career touchdown will come in Week 8 versus the Bills.
Ja'Kobi Lane — Active
Lane was making his return from a four-game stint on IR due to a wrist injury, and he set new career highs across the board after having gotten hurt in Week 1. He tied for second in receptions and targets while slotting in third in receiving yards on the afternoon for the Ravens. Lane's chemistry with Tyler Huntley was encouraging, but the rookie wideout's fantasy upside could truly be unlocked once he has a stretch of games to work with Lamar Jackson (ankle).
Ja'Kobi Lane — Active
After injuring his left wrist in the Ravens' Week 1 win over the Colts and landing on injured reserve, Lane was cleared to resume practicing Wednesday. The rookie wideout proceeded to turn in three consecutive full sessions, and the Ravens came away satisfied enough with his health to bring him back from IR. Lane could immediately settle in as the Ravens' No. 3 wideout behind Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman as he makes his return to the lineup.
Ja'Kobi Lane — Active
Although Lane is still listed as questionable, his activation from IR puts the rookie wide receiver on track to return for Sunday's game against the Browns. Lane was one of the Ravens' standout players during training camp, so he could be featured prominently in the offense alongside Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman in his return.
Ja'Kobi Lane — Questionable
Lane strung together a trio of full practices to draw the questionable tag for Week 6. It looks like the Ravens will have their rookie third-round wide receiver back on the field for Sunday's AFC North showdown, and Lane could slide right back into the WR2 role behind Zay Flowers and in front of Rashod Bateman. Lane fractured his wrist during the Ravens' Week 1 win against the Colts, when he caught one of three targets for 11 yards (with two of those targets occurring in the end zone).
Ja'Kobi Lane — Injured Reserve
A full practice participant throughout the week, Lane will need to be taken off injured reserve on Friday or Saturday to play in Sunday's game. If that happens, he'll likely be Baltimore's third or fourth wide receiver, perhaps sharing snaps with Devontez Walker behind veteran starters Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman (both cleared to play after being listed on the injury report this week).
Ja'Kobi Lane — Injured Reserve
The Ravens opened Lane's 21-day evaluation window to begin Week 6 prep after the rookie wideout missed the team's last four games while recovering from left wrist surgery. The rookie wideout was apparently able to stay on top of his conditioning while he was sidelined from practice over the past month, as he faced no limitations in his return to the field. If Lane is able to maintain full practice activity Thursday and Friday, the Ravens could bring him back from IR ahead of Sunday's game in Cleveland.
Ja'Kobi Lane — Injured Reserve
Minter said Monday that Lane could be designated to return from injured reserve this week, and it now appears likely he will do so. His participation in practice -- or lack thereof -- from Wednesday through Friday will likely determine whether or not he is ultimately activated for Week 6.
Ja'Kobi Lane — Injured Reserve
The rookie third-rounder's offseason momentum was stymied when he fractured his wrist during the Ravens' Week 1 win over the Colts. Minter noted that Lane has kept up his conditioning while on IR, and there's a chance that the 22-year-old wideout could be back on the field for practice as soon as Wednesday, though it's unclear whether he'll be cleared to return for Week 6 against the Browns on Oct. 18.
Ja'Kobi Lane — Injured Reserve
Lane is eligible to return from injured reserve for Week 6, and while Minter didn't get into specifics, it does sounds like the rookie wideout is expected back fairly soon. Lane underwent surgery in mid-September after fracturing his wrist in a Week 1 win over the Colts. He played 24 snaps on offense in the first half of that game, catching one of three targets for 11 yards, with a short TD catch called back due to a penalty. Lane could be the team's No. 2 or 3 wide receiver when he returns.
