Injury & Status History
A running log of this player's status changes — each entry links to the original source.
Rachaad White — Active
With Jacory Croskey-Merritt (groin) unavailable after landing on injured reserve prior to Monday's game, White worked as the de facto lead back. The ground attack took a back seat when the Commanders fell behind by a 20-3 margin going into intermission, but White was able to make an impact as a receiver. White posted his second receiving touchdown as a member of the Commanders, recording a nine-yard scoring grab in the fourth quarter for the final points of the night. With Croskey-Merritt out for at least three additional games, White could continue to see fairly solid volume in a Week 8 home matchup against the Eagles on Nov. 1 following the Commanders' Week 7 bye.
Rachaad White — Active
Despite ending Week 6 prep with back-to-back limited practices due to a shoulder injury, White will be available to the Commanders backfield Monday along with Austin Ekeler (chest). With Jacory Croskey-Merritt (groin) ruled out, White and Ekeler are the candidates to lead Washington's backfield this week. On the season, White had 39 touches for 171 yards from scrimmage and one receiving TD in four appearances.
Rachaad White — Active
White's downgrade from Thursday's full listing may be due to maintenance of the shoulder issue that sidelined him Week 4 against the Colts, but his status now bears monitoring to get a sense of his chances to play Monday at San Francisco, especially with Jacory Croskey-Merritt (groin) not practicing this week. In the event Croskey-Merritt is inhibited or out in Week 6, White and Austin Ekeler (chest, LP on Friday) would be the beneficiaries in the Commanders backfield.
Rachaad White — Active
White recorded 20 scrimmage yards on seven touches in his return from a one-game absence due to a shoulder injury. Jacory Croskey-Merritt led Washington's running backs with 11 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown, while White and Austin Ekeler each drew one target out of the backfield. Ekeler's return to Washington could prove problematic for White, as the two veteran running backs could split passing-down work while Croskey-Merritt continues to get most of the carries. White could get more opportunities if the Commanders are forced to play catch-up against the 5-0 49ers in Week 6.
Rachaad White — Active
A shoulder injury prevented White from playing against the Colts in Week 4, but the fifth-year running back has been cleared to return for Week 5 after logging three consecutive limited practices. Jacory Croskey-Merritt (groin) also has been cleared to play Sunday, so White and Austin Ekeler both figure to operate in rotational roles out of the backfield.
Rachaad White — Active
Rachaad White listed Active.
Rachaad White — Questionable
After missing last Sunday's game with the shoulder issue, White now appears set to return to Washington's backfield as the pass-catching complement to Jacory Croskey-Merritt. White's return will likely mute Austin Ekeler's role, though this could turn into a three-man backfield, leaving none of the trio as enticing fantasy options. White has produced 151 yards on 31 touches this season.
Rachaad White — Questionable
White was sidelined all of last week before missing this past Sunday's game versus the Colts in London while dealing with a shoulder injury. He maintained his activity level from Wednesday, as did fellow RB Jacory Croskey-Merritt (groin). With the Commanders waiving rookie Kaytron Allen on Thursday, the team currently has just Croskey-Merritt, White and Austin Ekeler at the position on the active roster.
Rachaad White — Questionable
After missing Week 4 with a shoulder injury, White is trending in the right direction. He wasn't a full-go Wednesday but was able to practice in a limited fashion. His status becomes all the more important now that Jacory Croskey-Merritt (groin) was limited to begin the week.
Rachaad White — Out
White sat out the entirety of Week 4 prep before being ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Colts in London as he deals with a shoulder injury. The Commanders resume practicing Wednesday, after which his activity level, if any, will become known. In three contests this season, White has 31 touches for 151 yards from scrimmage and one receiving TD.
Rachaad White — Out
White missed practice all week due to a shoulder injury and won't suit up in London. Rookie Kaytron Allen and newly-signed Austin Ekeler will spell Jacory Croskey-Merritt out of the Washington backfield versus Indianapolis.
Rachaad White — Questionable
White's shoulder injury prevented him from taking part in Washington's first two practices of the week, and per head coach Dan Quinn it also prevented him from getting any reps Friday. The team has not yet released its final injury report for Week 4, but it's looking like White will be unavailable for Sunday's matchup with the Colts in London.
Rachaad White — Questionable
White is sitting out a second consecutive practice ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Colts in London, which will kick off at 9:30 a.m. ET. If White is unable to suit up, the recently signed Austin Ekeler could slot in for passing-down work in a Commanders backfield that also includes Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Kaytron Allen.
