Injury & Status History
A running log of this player's status changes — each entry links to the original source.
Xavier Hutchinson — Active
On a day in which C.J. Stroud targeted nine different players, Hutchinson tied Dalton Schultz for the team lead with six targets. Nico Collins led the wideout group with 24 routes, but Hutchinson tied Jaylin Noel (toe) for second at the position with 15 routes. In a receiver room that is running six deep on game days, none of these Houston wide receivers are reliably playable in fantasy outside of Collins.
Xavier Hutchinson — Active
Though he finished with season-low marks in catches, receiving yards and targets, Hutchinson was on the field for 34 offensive snaps, surpassing his playing time from each of the previous three contests. He also saw some usage as a kickoff returner for the first time since Week 18 of the 2024 season. Working as a return man could prove to be Hutchinson's primary role moving forward, after Houston acquired Marvin Harrison from Arizona and anticipates Tank Dell (knee) returning from injured reserve for a Week 7 game against the Giants.
Xavier Hutchinson — Active
Hutchinson led the team in receiving yards, while his four catches were tied for second with running back Woody Marks. The wide receiver has now reeled in 16 of 31 targets for 231 yards over the first five games of the season. The Texans announced that they traded for wide receiver Marvin Harrison on Sunday, and the addition of Harrison will likely lower Hutchinson's upside as a fantasy asset moving forward.
Xavier Hutchinson — Active
With Nico Collins (hamstring) back from a two-game absence, Hutchinson saw his snaps cut pretty significantly, as he was in on just 17 of Houston's 55 plays from scrimmage. He still saw five targets, but Hutchinson appears to be the biggest loser at wide receiver with Collins back in action and can be left on waivers in most fantasy formats.
Xavier Hutchinson — Active
Hutchinson was in the same slotting for the Week 2 loss to the Bengals, a game in which he saw nine targets on 51 routes run but converted only three into catches. He ostensibly has a more palatable matchup Sunday, as the Colts have surrendered an elevated 72.7 percent catch rate and 17.9 yards per reception to wide receivers, along with three touchdowns, over the first two games.
