Jets WR Garrett Wilson says he doesn't want to be traded but does want to win
Jets receiver Garrett Wilson says he doesn't want to be traded but he expressed that he's frustrated by his target share and, most of all, losing.
Garrett Wilson — Active
Trade talks are heating up across the league and teams in the Jets' position are being looked at as potential sellers at the deadline. Wilson, who has been a Jet since 2022, will not seek a trade from the club, however. The fifth-year wideout is off to a strong start this season, drawing a 25.8 percent target share and averaging 1.98 yards per route run.
Garrett Wilson — Active
Wilson wasn't targeted in the first half as the Jets took a 21-7 deficit into the locker room. He was slightly more involved in the second half, but Wilson was overshadowed for a second consecutive game by rookie first-round pick Omar Cooper, who has exceeded 100 receiving yards with a touchdown in both games since recovering from an ankle injury. Wilson will try to bounce back from this season-worst performance in catches, receiving yards and targets when the Jets host the Raiders in Week 8.
Garrett Wilson — Active
Wilson had an early catch and then had a quiet middle portion of the game before rounding out his line some in the fourth quarter. Wilson still finished with modest production overall, as his reception and receiving yards totals were both his second lowest of the campaign. Geno Smith has undergone his fair share of struggles in his return to New York this season, but Wilson remains his top target with 48 looks from the veteran signal-caller over the first six games. Wilson will take a 35-418-3 line into a Week 7 home matchup against the Dolphins next Sunday.
Garrett Wilson — Active
Wilson opened the scoring with a 32-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter. That was his third touchdown grab through five games, and Wilson has exceeded 100 receiving yards twice while working as the top receiver for the Jets. No teammate topped 26 receiving yards as wide receivers Adonai Mitchell (finger) and Omar Cooper (ankle), as well as running back Breece Hall (quadriceps) were inactive, while tight end Kenyon Sadiq (concussion) exited in the second half. Up next for Wilson and the 2-3 Jets is a trip to New England to face the Patriots in Week 6.
Garrett Wilson — Active
Wilson accounted for two of Geno Smith's three completions in the first half, and the star wide receiver finished with a team-high three catches as Smith completed only eight passes in a forgettable performance from New York's offense. Heading into Sunday's loss, Wilson had been averaging seven catches for 81 receiving yards per game. Wilson and the Jets will try to bounce back from this dud in Week 5 against the Browns.
Garrett Wilson — Active
The star wideout -- who was evaluated for a head injury and cleared to return -- paced Jets pass catchers in all three receiving categories, and his 23-yard TD from Geno Smith in the fourth quarter tied the game at 24-24, only for the Lions to respond inside the final two minutes. It's Wilson's first 100-yard performance since Week 14 of the 2024 season, as injuries disrupted his 2025 campaign. Wilson also has found the end zone in back-to-back games, and he'll take a 21-243-2 line on 27 targets into a Week 4 road trip to Chicago.
