Injury & Status History
A running log of this player's status changes — each entry links to the original source.
RJ Harvey — Active
Harvey did most of his damage on a 52-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter, but he was quiet otherwise. Jonah Coleman turned nine carries and two catches into 69 scrimmage yards in the rookie's return from an ankle injury, while J.K. Dobbins scored a touchdown on one of the latter's six rushing attempts, so Denver has a three-man backfield rotation going ahead of a Week 8 home game against the Chiefs. Harvey has a path to consistent targets as a pass catcher out of the backfield, especially if he continues to capitalize on those opportunities like he did Sunday.
RJ Harvey — Active
Harvey finished with a team-high receiving yardage total on a night when Bo Nix threw for only 107 yards, and the second-year back made key complementary contributions on the ground as well. Harvey scored his first touchdown of the season on a one-yard run with 5:15 remaining in the second quarter, while his rushing yardage total tied a season high. Harvey projects to remain in his change-of-pace role when the Broncos visit the Cardinals in a Week 7 matchup on Sunday, Oct. 25.
RJ Harvey — Active
After being targeted a whopping 17 times over the previous two games, Harvey experienced a change in fortunes Sunday as no Bronco earned more than WR Jaylen Waddle's five looks from QB Bo Nix. Harvey hasn't been able to get anything going on the ground this season (3.7 YPC) in his four appearances while Dobbins has earned the more consistent workload (13.8 touches per game), leaving the former a distant second in the pecking order out of Denver's backfield.
RJ Harvey — Active
Harvey was only four carries behind J.K. Dobbins on an afternoon when game script eventually turned against the run in the second half, but the second-year back saw the biggest workload of any Broncos pass catcher. Harvey led the team across the board in receptions, receiving yards and targets, and both his catch and target tallies were also career highs. The early exit of Pat Bryant with an ankle injury may have had at least a nominal influence on boosting Harvey's pass-catching opportunities, but the latter is highly valued for his receiving capabilities overall and should retain a solid complementary role in a Week 5 road matchup against the Chargers next Sunday.
RJ Harvey — Active
Harvey didn't see much involvement on the ground but tied for the team lead in targets in his return from a one-game absence due to a hamstring injury. He was evaluated for a concussion in the second half and cleared to return, though Harvey had just one touch after that point. J.K. Dobbins is likely to keep working as Denver's primary rushing option in Week 4 against the 49ers, especially with rookie fourth-round pick Jonah Coleman (ankle) on IR, while Harvey remains the preferred running back in passing situations.
