Injury & Status History
A running log of this player's status changes — each entry links to the original source.
Corey Kiner — Active
Kiner came into Thursday having gained 50-plus rushing yards in consecutive contests, but he was much less impactful versus the Bears. Part of that was due to New England playing from behind and tallying just 17 total carries as a team (to 31 pass attempts), but it's also notable that Kiner logged just six offensive snaps, well behind Rhamondre Stevenson's 37 and less than half of TreyVeon Henderson's 13. While Kiner's previous two performances gave him a little momentum in fantasy, he's unlikely to be a reliable asset while Stevenson and Henderson are healthy.
Corey Kiner — Active
Kiner stepped into a more prominent role in the backfield behind Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson in Week 6. With Henderson limited by an ankle injury, Kiner was able to log four more carries than Henderson's seven. Additionally, Kiner averaged 5.2 yards per carry, which was double the 2.6 YPC that Stevenson produced over 14 totes. It's unclear what role Kiner will play when Henderson is back to full health, but he certainly proved he can be productive with an increased workload.
Corey Kiner — Active
After Henderson exited in the second quarter of Sunday's 45-17 win over the Raiders with what was later revealed to be a high-ankle sprain, Kiner stepped in as the top complement to Stevenson and finished the game with six carries for 52 yards, a seven-yard reception and a lost fumble across 15 offensive snaps. Five of Kiner's seven touches came in the final 10 minutes when the Patriots had the game well in hand, so if the Week 6 matchup with the Jets proves to be more competitive, Stevenson could end up taking on a heavier share of the snaps out of the backfield. In anticipation of Henderson missing time, the Patriots could also look to sign or elevate Lan Larison off the practice squad to provide another option in the backfield who could vie with Kiner for playing time behind Stevenson.
