Jaxon Smith-Njigba — Active
After leading the league in catches, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns through Week 6, Smith-Njigba increased his pace with a season-high 163 scrimmage yards Sunday night. JSN scored his eighth touchdown of the season on a 28-yard catch in the second quarter, with four apiece having been thrown by Sam Darnold and Drew Lock. Smith-Njigba became the sixth player in NFL history to reach 100 receiving yards in six of his team's first seven regular-season games. He led the league in receiving yards last regular season and is showing no signs of slowing down heading into a Week 8 home game against the Bears on MNF.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba — Active
Despite the Broncos being down Pat Surtain (ankle) and Talanoa Hufanga (ankle), Smith-Njigba and the Seahawks' air attack as a whole couldn't get much going through the first half-plus of play. The All-Pro receiver turned it on in the later portion of the contest, however, and he ultimately finished with season highs in receptions and targets, along with his second-highest amount of receiving yards. Smith-Njigba already has five 100-yard efforts in his first six games of the season, and his tendency to dominate Sam Darnold's attention once again will make him an elite option in all formats during a Week 7 Sunday night home showdown against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs on Sunday, Oct. 25.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba — Active
The Seahawks listed Smith-Njigba as limited on practice estimates Monday and Tuesday due to an ankle issue, but it didn't hold him back Wednesday, and he thus is in the clear for Week 6 action. He'll be looking to build upon the massive 37-583-7 line on 50 targets that he's amassed through five contests to start the campaign.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba — Questionable
The Seahawks did not practice Tuesday for a second straight day, and as was the case Monday, Smith-Njigba was estimated as a limited participant. He will have one more day to get some work in before Thursday's game against the Broncos.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba — Questionable
Per Gregg Bell of Sports Radio 93.3 KJR Seattle, Smith-Njigba appeared to get dinged up on a 16-yard lateral run early in the second quarter of Sunday's 32-29 loss to the 49ers. The injury didn't end up costing the star wideout any significant playing time, but it could result in his practice activity being monitored closely during Week 6 prep while the Seahawks face a quick turnaround with a Thursday game versus the Broncos. At this stage of the week, the expectation is that Smith-Njigba will be able to play without any restrictions.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba — Questionable
Smith-Njigba topped 100 receiving yards for the fourth time in five games and scored his seventh touchdown of the season on a 16-yard catch in the third quarter, but his heroics weren't enough as the Seahawks fell to 3-2. Seattle's four turnovers bear most of the blame for the loss, though JSN had an uncharacteristic drop on the Seahawks' penultimate offensive play, which would have put Seattle in position for a game-tying field goal had he caught it. Smith-Njigba will have a short turnaround before Thursday's home game against the Broncos, in which the star receiver will have a chance to add to his season total of 583 receiving yards.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba — Active
Smith-Njigba's 27-405-6 line on 36 targets through three games to kick off the campaign perhaps wasn't sustainable, but his Week 4 performance was nothing to sniff at considering he paced the Seahawks in targets among QB Sam Darnold's 22 pass attempts. Smith-Njigba put up at least as many receiving yards in 15 of his 17 regular-season appearances in 2025 as he did Sunday, so a bounce-back seems likely when he takes the field next Sunday versus the 49ers.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba — Active
Having Sam Darnold back under center instead of Drew Lock did nothing to slow Smith-Njigba's momentum. The superstar wideout recorded his third straight game with more than 120 receiving yards while hauling in his fifth and sixth TDs of the season, catching a one-yard toss in the second quarter and an 11-yard strike in the fourth. Smith-Njigba will take an eye-popping 27-405-6 line on 36 targets into a Week 4 clash at home against the Chargers.
