Injury & Status History
A running log of this player's status changes — each entry links to the original source.
George Holani — Active
All five of Holani's carries came in the first half, but he didn't record a rush over the final two quarters as Emanuel Wilson dominated the Seahawks backfield to finish with 100 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. Holani has logged five carries in three of his last four games, but he'll likely be demoted to RB3 duties against the Bears in Week 8 if Zach Charbonnet (knee) is cleared play in that contest.
George Holani — Active
Charbonnet was activated from the PUP list Thursday and practiced in full all week, but he's not quite ready to make his return from a torn ACL. As such, Holani will log another week as the Seahawks' backup running back behind Emanuel Wilson. That role hasn't led to much production, as Holani has tallied just 97 yards and one touchdown on 31 carries through six games this season, though he's also registered an 11-76-0 receiving line. Should Charbonnet return Week 8 versus Chicago, Holani seems likely to see his opportunities decrease.
George Holani — Active
Holani filled his usual complementary role behind Emanuel Wilson, and he made good use of two of his touches in particular. Holani gained 13 of his yards on one carry, and he also posted his first rushing touchdown of the campaign on a one-yard run with just under six minutes remaining in regulation. Holani should remain in a low-volume role that could shrink even further if Zach Charbonnet (knee) is activated from the reserve/PUP list as expected for a Week 7 home showdown against the Chiefs on Sunday, Oct. 25.
George Holani — Active
Holani was unable to get much going on the ground in Week 5, and he put the ball on the ground twice in the contest, the latter of which resulted in a defensive touchdown for San Francisco with 18 seconds left in the first half. The running back entered the game having dealt with both a knee injury and an injured rib at practice throughout the week, but he was ultimately good to go, and he was estimated to be a full participant on the Seahawks' first Week 6 injury report Monday. With Zach Charbonnet (knee) not expected back this week, Holani once again will operate as a top backup option behind Emanuel Wilson in the backfield against the Broncos on Thursday Night Football.
George Holani — Active
Holani took a questionable tag into the weekend after practicing in limited fashion all week due to a rib injury, and as of Friday, a knee issue as well. Nevertheless, the third-year back will play through both injuries in Sunday's NFC West showdown, when he's expected to operate as a complementary option to current lead back Emanuel Wilson.
George Holani — Questionable
A rib injury limited Holani's practice participation all week, and he's now working through a knee issue that popped up on Friday's injury report. Emanuel Wilson has stepped into the RB1 role in the absence of Jadarian Price (chest, IR), and if Holani is not cleared to play, then Velus Jones and Robert Henry will be in line for larger rotational roles out of the backfield behind Wilson.
George Holani — Questionable
Holani played through the issue last Sunday against the Chargers and turned eight touches into 20 yards as the change-of-pace back behind Emanuel Wilson. He should fill a similar role again this Sunday against the 49ers. Holani has minimal fantasy appeal.
George Holani — Questionable
Holani rushed seven times for 18 yards in the Seahawks' Week 4 win over the Chargers. The running back played through a rib injury and looks to be on pace to do so again in Week 5. With limited practice in Thursday and Friday sessions, Holani will likely be free of any injury designation heading into Sunday's game against the 49ers. The 26-year-old should continue to play second fiddle to Emanuel Wilson in the contest.
George Holani — Active
Even with Jadarian Price (chest) on injured reserve, Holani played a distant second fiddle to Emanuel Wilson, who rushed 21 times for 81 yards and a touchdown. Wilson also turned four targets into three catches for 30 yards and a second score. Holani has minimal fantasy value, especially with Zach Charbonnet (knee) due back in the near future.
George Holani — Active
Holani still figures to get most of his playing time on passing downs but could take on more carries in the absence of Price. The Seahawks also have Jacardia Wright and Velus Jones as backfield options on the practice squad, so Emanuel Wilson and Holani won't automatically get all of the snaps.
George Holani — Active
The Seahawks are banged up in the backfield, as Jadarian Price (chest) was downgraded to DNP after Wednesday's limited session, and Zach Charbonnet (knee/PUP) was limited in his first practice of the season. It appears as if Emanuel Wilson could be in line for a decent workload Sunday against the Chargers if Price is unable to play and Holani is less than 100 percent.
George Holani — Questionable
Holani rushed three times for 10 yards while catching all five of his targets for 48 yards during the team's 33-31 loss to the Commanders in Week 3. He appears to have picked up injury to his ribs along the way, and the running back was unable to log a full session Wednesday as a result. Fellow running back Jadarian Price (chest) was also a limited participant to open the week, leaving Emanuel Wilson as the team's only fully healthy option in the backfield ahead of Thursday's practice.
