Injury & Status History
A running log of this player's status changes — each entry links to the original source.
Michael Mayer — Active
After a big Week 6 in which Mayer caught seven of nine targets for 95 yards against the Bills, Mayer faded into the background against Los Angeles, as Tre Tucker (5-103-1 receiving), Brock Bowers (6-73-0) and Ashton Jeanty (8-61-1) accounted for most of the production in the passing game for the Raiders. Mayer will be a fantasy TE1/2 for next Sunday's game against the Jets.
Michael Mayer — Active
Mayer set a new single-game career high in receiving yards while outpacing position mate Brock Bowers by 25 yards in the high-scoring loss. Mayer's reception total was a team high for Las Vegas on the afternoon and served as the fourth-year pro's second best of the season. There clearly appears to be consistent room for both athletic tight ends in head coach Klint Kubiak's offense, especially with the Raiders' receiving corps lacking some depth and experience behind Tre Tucker.
Michael Mayer — Active
Mayer went from having 10 targets in the team's Week 4 loss to Kansas City to a season-low one target versus New England. Fellow tight end Brock Bowers (10) recorded double-digit targets for the third straight contest, and the Las Vegas passing attack primarily funnels through him. With a potential quarterback change from Kirk Cousins to Fernando Mendoza on the horizon, Mayer's outlook moving forward is uncertain.
Michael Mayer — Active
Mayer led the Raiders in catches while finishing four receiving yards and one target shy of Brock Bowers' team-high totals. Kirk Cousins has relied heavily on his tight ends in the passing game, and even third-stringer Ian Thomas got in on the fun with a 27-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter. Bowers will continue to lead the position group in Week 5 against the Patriots, but Mayer remains an integral part of Vegas' offense as well.
Michael Mayer — Active
Brock Bowers made his season debut after recovering from minor knee surgery and made an immediate statement with a 10-116-1 line on 13 targets, but Mayer didn't vanish completely from the game plan as a receiver and hauled in his first score of the year in the second quarter. The three targets were still a season low for Mayer, after he compiled a 9-55-0 line on 11 looks from Kirk Cousins during Bowers' absence. As long as Bowers remains healthy, Mayer will struggle to make a consistent impact.
