Injury & Status History
A running log of this player's status changes — each entry links to the original source.
MarShawn Lloyd — Active
The Packers got top RB Josh Jacobs back in the lineup for the first time this season after he spent the first six contests on the commissioner's exempt list. However, he wasn't able to provide a jolt to a moribund ground game, as the team averaged just 3.2 YPC on its 19 rushes. On a positive note for Lloyd, though, he was the only Green Bay running back other than Jacobs to earn a touch, as an active Pierre Strong did not, and Kaleb Johnson (coach's decision) was a healthy scratch. Lloyd appears set to serve as the team's No. 2 backfield option moving forward, which should provide him regular reps with which to work behind Jacobs.
Fantasy football buzz: How Davante Adams injury affects Rams
What should fantasy managers do with Davante Adams set to miss the next 6-10 weeks?
MarShawn Lloyd — Active
Lloyd was rather inefficient in Week 6, averaging 1.3 yards per carry while logging three fewer carries than fellow running back Pierre Strong (11). Lloyd was briefly sidelined by an undisclosed injury during the contest, but his ability to finish the game would suggest that whatever he was dealing with is minor. With Josh Jacobs expected to be removed from the Commissioner's Exempt List on Monday, Lloyd will likely transition into a complementary role behind Jacobs in the backfield moving forward.
MarShawn Lloyd — Active
Lloyd was able to open the second quarter with a 10-yard touchdown run before later adding a four-yard score in the fourth quarter. The running back's 10 carries were his most since logging 13 rushes for 37 yards in Week 1 versus Minnesota. Lloyd has now compiled 112 rushing yards on 40 carries and two touchdowns while reeling in 10 of 13 targets for 55 yards and a score over five games to open the 2026 season while operating as Green Bay's primary option in the backfield with Josh Jacobs (personal) on the Commissioner's Exempt List.
MarShawn Lloyd — Active
It was more of the same on the ground for Lloyd, who barely eclipsed the season-low 11 rushing yards he produced in Week 3 against the Falcons. However, the third-year back set new career highs in receptions, receiving yards and targets, offering some modest fantasy value on the afternoon. Lloyd's backfield mate Kaleb Johnson led the ground attack with eight carries for 42 yards Sunday, and although Lloyd remains largely ineffective as a runner, he'll likely remain in a relevant role in Week 5 at home against the Bears if the ankle injury that forced Chris Brooks' exit from the contest keeps him sidelined for that divisional contest.
MarShawn Lloyd — Active
The inefficiency reflected in his final line underscores the type of season it's been so far for Lloyd, who's tried in vain to serve as a serviceable replacement for Josh Jacobs (personal) while he remains on the Commissioner's Exempt List. Lloyd's rushing opportunities were limited Thursday largely due to game script, but the 2024 third-round pick is averaging just 3.0 yards per carry through three games and has complemented it with an unremarkable 4-13-0 line through the air. Lloyd, Chris Brooks and Kaleb Johnson will continue to share the Packers' backfield workload in a Week 4 road matchup against the Buccaneers on Sunday, Oct. 4.
