Drake Thomas — Out
Thomas was unable to practice throughout Week 7 prep and has subsequently been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game. The inside linebacker will once again be replaced by Tyrice Knight. Ernest Jones and Knight could have a tough challenge taking on former teammate and reigning Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker.
Drake Thomas — Questionable
Thomas has not participated in an on-field practice since sustaining his ankle injury in the Seahawks' Week 5 loss to the 49ers. The linebacker remains sidelined due to the injury, leaving Tyrice Knight (oblique) likely to fill in once again next to Ernest Jones in Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Drake Thomas — Out
Following the first two walkthroughs of Week 6 prep, Thomas was unable to practice in any capacity Wednesday and will miss his first game of the season due to an ankle injury. It's not exactly clear who will start alongside Ernest Jones at inside linebacker in Thomas' absence, but Tyrice Knight and Patrick O'Connell figure to be the top candidates to do so. Thomas' next opportunity to play is Week 7 against the Chiefs on Sunday, Oct. 25.
Drake Thomas — Questionable
Thomas injured his ankle during the first half of Sunday's 32-29 loss to the 49ers and did not return. The short week doesn't give Thomas much time to recover, and his practice participation, if any, over the next two days will shed light on his chances of playing against the Broncos on Thursday.
Drake Thomas — Questionable
Thomas suffered an ankle injury during the first half of the game, and his status for the second half is now uncertain. In his absence, Tyrice Knight and Patrick O'Connell are both candidates to see increased roles at inside linebacker versus San Francisco.
Drake Thomas — Active
Thomas recorded at least five takedowns for the fourth straight game to open the regular season, but he made his mark on Sunday's contest with his paws. The linebacker jumped in front of quarterback Justin Herbert's first pass of the contest, securing his first interception of the season. Thomas has now registered 30 total tackles (18 solo), including 1.0 sacks, while also intercepting a pass over four contests this season.
