Zach Charbonnet — Questionable
Going back to last week, Charbonnet now has logged four straight full sessions, indicating that he's drawing closer to his first game action since tearing his left ACL on Jan. 17. Of course, the Seahawks didn't clear him to return this past Sunday against the Chiefs, and rookie first-round RB Jadarian Price (chest) was limited Thursday after the Seahawks designated him for return from IR, throwing another question mark into the potential backfield for Week 8. In any case, Charbonnet will have two more chances to prove his health before Seattle makes a ruling on his status ahead of Monday's game against the Bears.
Zach Charbonnet — Out
The Seahawks were required to activate Charbonnet from the reserve/PUP list by Thursday, as his 21-day practice window was going to expire, but despite logging a full week of practice, he won't make his 2026 debut Sunday. Macdonald also told Crabtree that Charbonnet hasn't had a setback, and the "plan was to get a great week's worth of work and see where we're at, and so we're gonna take it into next week." Charbonnet's next chance to suit up is Monday, Nov. 2, against the Bears, but in Week 7, Emanuel Wilson and George Holani will continue to man Seattle's backfield.
Zach Charbonnet — Questionable
In the midst of Seattle activating Charbonnet from the reserve/PUP list Thursday, Charbonnet now has strung together back-to-back uncapped sessions as he aims for his first game action since suffering a torn ACL in his left knee Jan. 17. In addition to head coach Mike Macdonald forecasting Charbonnet's "full week's worth of reps" Monday, he told Boyle that "you could see him on Sunday in some capacity." Even if Charbonnet is able to suit up this weekend against the Chiefs, he may enter a timeshare with Emanuel Wilson and George Holani off the bat instead of taking on a leading role.
Zach Charbonnet — Questionable
Because Seattle opened his 21-day practice window Oct. 1, the team was required to activate him by Thursday afternoon, or else he'd need to remain on the PUP list for the rest of the season. Considering he finally logged a full practice Wednesday for the first time since tearing his left ACL on Jan. 17, he's closing in on a return to action. That doesn't necessarily mean Charbonnet will be cleared to play Sunday night against the Chiefs, but Friday's injury report will reveal his chances to do so.
Zach Charbonnet — Questionable
Charbonnet finally achieved the elusive full listing on the Seahawks' injury report for the first time since the team opened his practice window Oct. 1. Head coach Mike Macdonald told Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune on Monday that Charbonnet was in line for a "full week of work" and has a "good chance" to make his season debut Sunday versus the Chiefs. Wednesday's activity generally is a good sign, but Seattle likely wants Charbonnet to string together multiple uncapped sessions before giving him the all-clear for his first game action since Jan. 17, when he tore the ACL in his left knee.
Zach Charbonnet — Out
Since the Seahawks opened Charbonnet's practice window Oct. 1, he hasn't been listed as anything more than a limited participant. Macdonald's comments Monday indicate an upgrade in activity is likely, beginning Wednesday, as the team prepares for a Week 7 showdown with Kansas City. Timing also is at play here, as Seattle must activate Charbonnet from the reserve/PUP list by Wednesday afternoon for him to have any chance to play this season, which of course what is expected. If he's able to do enough to suit up this coming weekend, Charbonnet may not immediately take on a leading role, as Emanuel Wilson and George Holani currently are splitting the backfield reps.
Zach Charbonnet — Out
The Seahawks opened Charbonnet's practice window to return from the reserve/PUP list on Oct. 1, but he's yet to log anything more than a limited practice since then. The team now has until next Thursday, Oct. 22, to activate him, or else he'll be required to miss the rest of the season by rule. Of course, Seattle does expect Charbonnet to play this season, so even if he isn't ready to play in Week 7, the move will be made next week. In the meantime, Emanuel Wilson will continue to lead the backfield, with George Holani backing him up.
Zach Charbonnet — Out
Charbonnet has been listed as limited on each of the Seahawks' four practice reports since having his 21-day window opened last Thursday. The running back is in the final stages of his recovery from the torn ACL he sustained Jan. 17, but head coach Mike Macdonald has already indicated that the running back isn't expected to be activated from the PUP list prior to Thursday's game against the Broncos. Charbonnet could be targeting the Seahawks' Week 7 game against the Chiefs for his 2026 debut.
Zach Charbonnet — Out
Charbonnet, who has been on the reserve/PUP list all season while recovering from the torn ACL he sustained last January, is entering his second week of practicing after Seattle opened his 21-day evaluation window Thursday. Considering that he's been listed as limited in all three of his practices to date, the Seahawks may want to see Charbonnet turn in a week of full practices before activating him. Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald confirmed as much Monday, reiterating that Charbonnet isn't expected to be reinstated ahead of Thursday's game against the Broncos, per Gregg Bell of Sports Radio 93.3 KJR Seattle.
Zach Charbonnet — Out
Charbonnet returned to practice leading up to Sunday's loss against the 49ers, opening up a 21-day window for the Seahawks to add him back to the active roster. Seattle dropped to 3-2 with the loss, but the Seahawks are content to continue taking a patient approach with Charbonnet's recovery from a torn ACL rather than trying to rush him back on a short week. Charbonnet's next chance to suit up will come Oct. 25 against the Chiefs, while Emanuel Wilson, George Holani and Velus Jones will continue to hold down the fort at running back against the Broncos in the absence of Charbonnet and Jadarian Price (chest), who is on IR until at least Week 8.
Zach Charbonnet — Out
Seattle opened Charbonnet's 21-day practice window last Thursday, with the running back practicing on a limited basis for the team's final two sessions of Week 4 in what amounted to his first involvement in on-field drills since he tore the ACL in his left knee Jan. 17. Macdonald noted that Charbonnet will take another step forward in Week 5 by getting "team reps" in practices, but the 25-year-old looks like he'll still need some additional time after that to fully ramp up before making his 2026 debut. With rookie first-round pick Jadarian Price (chest) going on injured reserve this past Saturday, Emanuel Wilson took over as the Seahawks' lead back in the Week 4 win over the Chargers, finishing with 120 yards from scrimmage on 24 touches. Wilson will likely continue to carry the load out of the Seattle backfield until Charbonnet is activated.
Zach Charbonnet — Out
With Charbonnet still on the reserve/PUP list after being designated to return to practice Thursday, he remains ineligible for Week 4. Jadarian Price (chest) also is out for Seattle, leaving Emanuel Wilson and George Holani as the team's main RBs for a home game against the Chargers on Sunday.
When will Zach Charbonnet return?
Brady Henderson reports on Charbonnet's return to practice and which week would be best for him to start.
Zach Charbonnet — Out
Thursday's move opens the 21-day window for Charbonnet to resume practicing, during which he can be added to the active roster. Charbonnet is ineligible to play against the Chargers on Sunday after being placed on the reserve/PUP list to begin the season, but he could suit up as soon as Week 5 against the 49ers if added to the roster. Jadarian Price (chest), Emanuel Wilson and George Holani (ribs) have held the fort at running back while Charbonnet works his way back from a torn ACL sustained last postseason.
Zach Charbonnet — Out
Charbonnet suffered a torn ACL in the divisional round of the playoffs back on Jan. 17 and underwent surgery in February, but he's made quick work in his recovery and technically will be eligible to return as soon as Week 5 if his practice window is opened this week. More than likely, the Seahawks will take their time with Charbonnet once he's back on the practice field, but it appears as if he'll be able to suit up for games that matter sooner than later. In the meantime, Jadarian Price will continue to lead the Seahawks backfield, with Emanuel Wilson and George Holani on hand for RB reps as well.
