Chase Brown — Active
Brown didn't partake in the Bengals' five-touchdown second-half explosion, but the versatile back had a serviceable day on a per-touch basis. However, Brown hasn't really come close to reaching the 100-yard mark on the ground in any game this season -- the closest he's come is 80 yards -- and he's been at 61 yards or fewer in five of six contests. Brown's pass-catching work continues to typically be plentiful, but he still has a relatively modest outlook heading into a Week 8 home matchup against the Titans next Sunday.
Chase Brown — Active
As his final numbers corroborate, Brown found efficiency on the ground elusive against a surprisingly game Dolphins defense. The versatile back made a serviceable impact as a complementary option in the passing game, although his lost fumble came after a three-yard reception just past the midway point of the second quarter. Brown also saw Samaje Perine get some significant second-half run and ultimately outpace him by one rush attempt, but the former should remain the lead option in the ground attack coming out of a Week 6 bye in a Week 7 road matchup against the Ravens on Sunday, Oct. 25.
Chase Brown — Active
Brown had drastically different degrees of success in his two roles, gaining next to nothing on the ground while setting a new career high in receptions. The versatile back's boost in involvement as a pass catcher was at least partly a byproduct of Ja'Marr Chase's first-half exit due to a concussion, and Brown caught Joe Burrow's final pass of the day and was tripped up just a yard short of a first down with 56 seconds remaining to snuff out Cincinnati's final chance at a comeback victory. Brown is averaging just 3.6 yards per carry but has a 21-103-0 receiving line on 24 targets through four games heading into a Week 5 road matchup against the Dolphins next Sunday.
Chase Brown — Active
Brown continued his career-long tradition of efficient rushing performances against the Steelers, but the running back's overall opportunities at least were somewhat capped due to game script. The versatile back also struggled to make an impact in the passing game for the second straight game after opening the season with a 5-22-0 receiving line, as he's produced the same number of receptions for just 10 yards over the last two contests. Brown should continue in a workhorse role against the Jaguars at home next Sunday.
