Romeo Doubs — Injured Reserve

With Doubs already on injured reserve, this report offers a more encouraging timeline after Sunday's shoulder injury. He'll still need to miss at least four games, but a possible return after the bye would keep the Patriots from being without one of their key wide receivers for an extended stretch. Efton Chism and Kyle Williams will be in line for increased snaps alongside A.J. Brown and slot man DeMario Douglas with Doubs sidelined.

Romeo Doubs — Injured Reserve

Just after welcoming A.J. Brown back from IR in Sunday's 26-19 win over the Jets, the Patriots will have another starting wideout in Doubs land on the shelf for at least the next four games. Doubs sustained the shoulder injury while making a diving 42-yard touchdown grab in the first quarter, with the Patriots ruling him out for the rest of the game shortly thereafter. Though the extent of his shoulder injury isn't fully known, Doubs won't be eligible for activation until after the team's Week 11 bye as a result of the transaction. Doubs' upcoming absence should open up more playing time for DeMario Douglas, Efton Chism and Kyle Williams behind Brown.

Romeo Doubs — Questionable

Doubs was injured on his 42-yard TD catch in the first quarter, after which he went to the sideline tent, and eventually, the locker room. A shoulder issue was the cause for his exit and will keep him out for the rest of Week 6. A.J. Brown, DeMario Douglas, Efton Chism and Kyle Williams are the Patriots' remaining healthy and available wide receivers.

Romeo Doubs — Questionable

Doubs recorded a 42-yard touchdown connection with QB Drake Maye in the first quarter of Week 6 action, but he was shaken up afterward, visited the sideline tent and then went to the locker room before the Patriots deemed the wide receiver questionable to return. For as long as Doubs is off the field, A.J. Brown, DeMario Douglas, Efton Chism and Kyle Williams will handle WR reps for New England.

InjuryActive17d ago

Romeo Doubs — Active

Six different Patriots caught at least three passes from Drake Maye as the QB tossed four TDs in total, but Doubs wasn't able to secure a share of the bounty. It was a very disappointing follow-up to his 6-58-2 line from last week given the circumstances, but with his quarterback having apparently regained his swagger, Doubs' own arrow is still pointed up. After getting blanked in his New England debut, Doubs has a 13-219-2 line on 20 targets over the last four games. He'll look to get back in the end zone in a Week 6 tilt against the Jets.

Romeo Doubs — Active

Doubs put together a performance befitting his current role as No. 1 receiver in the ongoing absence of A.J. Brown (ankle, IR), recording his first two touchdowns as a member of the Patriots while finishing as the team leader in receptions and targets with figures that also qualified as season highs. Doubs struck from 14 and two yards out in the first and third quarter, respectively, on his pair of scoring grabs, and after a blanking in Week 1 against Seattle, he's bounced back with a 12-203-2 line on 20 targets. Doubs will next try to make inroads against a tough Raiders defense at home in Week 5.

InjuryActive31d ago

Romeo Doubs — Active

Doubs finished second on the Patriots in both catches and receiving yards to Mack Hollins, the latter of whom finished with a 6-87-0 line on nine targets. Doubs and Hollins will continue to operate as Drake Maye's top targets in the absence of A.J. Brown (ankle), who will miss at least the next two weeks while on injured reserve. Doubs will take a 6-145-0 line on 11 targets into a Week 4 road matchup against Buffalo.
