Kyler Gordon — Active
Gordon's sack came early -- he brought down Drake Maye for a loss of one yard on a fourth-down play during the Patriots' first offensive drive. The star cornerback has been a terror for opposing offenses through his first two games, as he's already blown by his previous career high with 4.0 sacks. Gordon has done that despite playing a modest 48 defensive snaps across the two contests. He upped his snap share to 58 percent Thursday (after posting a 31 percent mark in his season debut Week 6) and should continue to increase his time on the field as he moves further past a calf injury.
Kyler Gordon — Active
Gordon was cleared to make his 2026 debut Sunday after fully recovering from a calf injury stemming from the offseason. He played only 17 of 46 defensive snaps (41.5 percent), but he was the most impactful Bears defender. Two of his three sacks on Michael Penix resulted in fumbles, the second of which was recovered by Chicago late in the fourth quarter to seal the win. The Bears will operate on short rest in their Week 7 tilt against the Patriots on Thursday, so it wouldn't be surprising if Gordon operates under a snap count for at least one more game.
Bears' Kyler Gordon returns with vengeance, answers critics
In his season debut, Gordon was a huge factor in Chicago's win Sunday after battling through various injuries.
Kyler Gordon — Active
Gordon was activated from the Bears' reserve/PUP list Saturday, and the 2022 second-rounder has been given the green light to suit up for the first time this season. His return is a timely one, given that fellow defensive back Tyrique Stevenson (hip) is inactive for Sunday's contest.
Kyler Gordon — Questionable
Gordon remains listed as questionable and has a chance to make his 2026 debut Sunday against the Falcons. He's appeared in just three regular-season games since the start of the 2025 campaign due to recurring calf injuries. Gordon's return would be a boost to Chicago's secondary, particularly in slot coverage.
Kyler Gordon — Questionable
Gordon has been a full practice participant over the last two weeks, but he'll need to be activated from the Bears' reserve/PUP list Saturday in order to be available for Sunday's road contest. His presence would be a welcome one for a Bears secondary that could be without Tyrique Stevenson (hip).
Kyler Gordon — Out
Gordon is still waiting to be officially activated from Chicago's reserve/PUP list, but it seems like that's a real possibility for Week 6. His status will be worth monitoring throughout the week ahead of Sunday's contest at Atlanta.
Kyler Gordon — Out
Gordon strung together three consecutive full practices during Week 5 prep and drew the questionable tag for Sunday's NFC North tilt. However, the fifth-year pro is not quite ready to be activated from the reserve/PUP list, so his next chance to make his 2026 regular-season debut is Week 6 against the Falcons on Sunday, Oct. 18. Gordon has been working through a calf injury that stemmed from the offseason and training camp.
Kyler Gordon — Out
Gordon remains on the reserve/PUP list with a calf injury he sustained in May. The cornerback was designated to return to practice Sept. 30 and was a full participant throughout Week 5 preparation. Gordon's return to the 53-man roster would bolster the Bears' secondary as the team heads into a key divisional matchup against the Packers.
Kyler Gordon — Out
The Bears designated Gordon to return to practice from the reserve/PUP list Sept. 30. The cornerback has officially returned to full participation in practice, meaning it will likely not be long before Gordon returns to the active roster ready to suit up for the team.
Kyler Gordon — Out
Since he began the regular season on Chicago's reserve/PUP list, Gordon won't be eligible to suit up for game action again until Week 5 at Green Bay. With that said, his current availability at practice is a strong indication he's on track to do just that. His status will be worth monitoring until he is officially activated.
