Dameon Pierce — Injured Reserve
Pierce thus is joining fellow RBs Tank Bigsby (abdomen) and Will Shipley (foot) on IR, leaving Saquon Barkley and Jaydon Blue as the only players at the position on the Eagles' active roster. Pierce made a late exit from Monday's loss to the Cowboys, which followed Barkley's own earlier departure due to a back issue. Pierce's health concern is enough for him to miss at least four contests, meaning his next chance for game action is Sunday, Dec. 6, in Arizona.
Dameon Pierce — Questionable
Pierce was the second Eagles running back to make an early exit from Monday's contest, as starter Saquon Barkley was held out for the entire fourth quarter while nursing hamstring and back injuries. Before leaving the contest, Pierce carried 14 times for 47 yards and a touchdown while adding a one-yard reception on his lone target. Ahead of their Week 8 matchup with the Commanders, the Eagles will issue their next injury report Wednesday, when the nature of Pierce's health concern as well as the extent of his practice activity will be revealed.
Dameon Pierce — Active
Pierce opened the night in a clear No. 2 role behind the returning Saquon Barkley, but the latter's eventual exit in the fourth quarter due to a back injury helped Pierce double up his teammate in carries. Pierce finished with season highs in rush attempts and rushing yards, and he scored his second touchdown of the campaign on a five-yard run early in the second quarter. With Barkley now navigating multiple injuries, there's a possibility Pierce is back in the top role for a Week 8 road matchup against the Commanders on Sunday night.
Dameon Pierce — Active
With Barkley out of the lineup the last two games, Pierce accounted for 27 touches for 62 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD. In Barkley's two healthy outings this season, he averaged 16.0 touches per game, and if he takes on such a role Monday, Pierce will have to fight for scraps in the Eagles offense. Elijah Mitchell also is on hand for RB reps.
Dameon Pierce — Active
Pierce handled all the running back carries for the Eagles with all of Saquon Barkley (hamstring), Tank Bigsby (IR, abdomen) and Will Shipley (IR, foot) unavailable. As his rushing line suggests, Pierce found running room mostly at a premium, but he managed his first touchdown on the ground since the 2024 season on a two-yard run late in the first half. Pierce also was surprisingly involved as a receiver with Tanner McKee quarterbacking the offense, and the veteran back will remain in a similar role in a Week 7 home matchup against the Cowboys next Monday night if Barkley remains out.
Dameon Pierce — Active
Shipley was placed on injured reserve Friday, and Barkley will miss a second consecutive game due to a hamstring injury that he sustained against the Rams in Week 4. As such, Pierce will be the lead back for Sunday's contest while Carson Steele operates as the backup. Pierce turned 11 carries into 14 yards and added two catches (on five targets) for minus-2 yards in a Week 5 loss to the Jaguars. That game in London was the fifth-year pro's debut with the Eagles this season, and with another week of practice under his belt, Pierce will have the chance to produce against a Panthers defense that allows 156.5 rushing yards per game, which is second-most in the NFL, behind only the Cowboys (168.4).
Dameon Pierce — Active
With Saquon Barkley (hamstring) inactive and Tank Bigsby (abdomen) on IR, Pierce began the game as the No. 2 running back for the Eagles behind Will Shipley, and he moved into the top spot after Shipley exited the game just before halftime with a foot injury. The result was Pierce's highest touch volume since Week 18 of the 2024 season with the Texans, although his longest gain went for just six yards. The Eagles' offense is struggling overall behind a patchwork offensive line, but if Pierce finds himself as the top healthy RB option in Week 6 against the Panthers, he'll still have some deep-league fantasy appeal.
Dameon Pierce — Active
Philadelphia placed Tank Bigsby (core) on injured reserve Tuesday and appears likely to be without top back Saquon Barkley (hamstring) for Sunday's game against the Jaguars in London, so Pierce will be moved up from the practice squad to replenish the team's depth in the backfield. Assuming Barkley sits, Pierce will be primarily competing for reps with Will Shipley, who has been on the roster all season as the No. 3 back behind Barkley and Bigsby. Philadelphia could also look to elevate one of Jaydon Blue or Carson Steele from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's contest.
Dameon Pierce — Active
With top back Saquon Barkley week-to-week with a hamstring injury and with Tank Bigsby (abdomen) landing on injured reserve Tuesday, the Eagles will bring Pierce aboard to provide the backfield with another healthy body to complement Will Shipley. Due to the fact that he was already on the 53-man roster, Shipley is the presumptive favorite to start this Sunday against the Jaguars in London, but it's not guaranteed that he'll garner the majority of the carries over Pierce, who is a prototypical early-down runner. Shipley should at least rank ahead of Pierce as the Eagles' preferred option on passing downs.
