D'Andre Swift — Active
With Kyle Monangai (toe/thumb) out for a third straight game, Swift once again handled a workhorse role and parlayed it into some solid production. Swift's rushing yardage total was his third highest of the season, and the veteran back got into the end zone for the third straight game on a four-yard run late in the first quarter. He's up to seven rushing touchdowns on the season, but his touches will take a hit if Monangai is able to get healthy enough over the extended time between Thursday's game and a Week 8 road matchup against the Seahawks on Monday night, Nov. 2 to suit up for that contest.
D'Andre Swift — Active
The Falcons' front did a good job on Swift overall, but the veteran running back was able to offset his average of 2.8 yards per carry with four- and two-yard touchdown runs in the first half. Swift was playing without Kyle Monangai (toe) for the second straight game, and the former did function as the clear lead back before Roschon Johnson saw more work as the contest unfolded. Swift has half his six rush TDs on the season in the last pair of contests, but he could see his workload take somewhat of a hit if Monangai is able to return for Thursday night's home contest against the Patriots.
D'Andre Swift — Active
Monangai will miss a second consecutive game due to thumb and toe injuries, leaving Swift as the clear RB1 while Roschon Johnson operates in a depth role. Swift had just 13 touches in a Week 5 loss to the Packers, though he finished with 73 yards and a touchdown, which was the Bears' only trip to the end zone. Through five regular-season games, the veteran running back has turned 78 carries into 354 yards (4.5 YPC) and four touchdowns while catching 14 of 16 passes for 114 yards.
D'Andre Swift — Active
With Kyle Monangai (toe) inactive, Swift had the clear-cut lead role in the Bears' ground attack Sunday, but game script progressively worked against him. The veteran back was able to somewhat salvage his fantasy day with a one-yard touchdown run just inside the two-minute warning in the first half, his first score since his three-TD day in Week 1 against the Panthers. Swift also posted his second-highest reception, receiving yardage and target totals of the season, and it remains to be seen if he'll get another game without Monangai when the Bears visit the Falcons next Sunday.
D'Andre Swift — Active
With Swift progressing from a non-participant Wednesday to limited Thursday and full Friday, he appears set to lead Chicago's backfield in Week 5, especially after Kyle Monangai (toe) was ruled out and deemed week-to-week. Swift should be in line for a significant boost in snaps and touches with Monangai out of the picture against Green Bay, though Roschon Johnson will certainly be a factor, just maybe not to the extent Monangai had been out of Chicago's backfield.
D'Andre Swift — Questionable
This is progress for Swift, who did not practice to begin the week Wednesday. Notably, backfield mate Kyle Monangai (thumb/toe) also did not practice either day. Swift may be slightly ahead of Monangai in terms of his progress, but Friday's injury report will be the telltale sign for the Bears' backfield outlook going into the Week 5 matchup against the Packers.
D'Andre Swift — Questionable
Both Swift and fellow RB Kyle Monangai (thumb/toe) were non-participants to begin Week 5 prep, leaving question marks in the Bears backfield ahead of Sunday's contest at Green Bay. While Swift ceded 30 carries to Monangai in a Week 4 win against the Jets, the former notched 15 rushes and two catches en route to 74 yards from scrimmage. The overall situation will continue to be monitored to get a sense of who among the duo will be Chicago's lead runner this weekend.
D'Andre Swift — Active
Swift was stopped twice inside the 1-yard line on the opening drive, with the second stop resulting in a turnover on downs. Kyle Monangai got the goal-line opportunities on Chicago's next possession and punched in a one-yard touchdown. Swift also lost a fumble in the third quarter and watched Monangai dominate touches the rest of the way, as the latter finished with 146 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries. Both of Chicago's top two running backs are likely to play significant roles in Week 5 against Green Bay's shoddy run defense, assuming Monangai is able to play through the thumb injury he sustained during Sunday's win.
D'Andre Swift — Active
Swift didn't practice Thursday due to a knee injury, which coach Ben Johnson chalked up Friday to the running back "still feeling the effects" from Monday Night Football, per Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune. After an uncapped session to end Week 4 prep, Swift is in the clear for Sunday's contest, looking to resume the 20.7 touches per game that he's handled through three contests this season.
D'Andre Swift — Questionable
Head coach Ben Johnson said Swift is still feeling the effects of Monday night's game after he was unable to practice Thursday. With Swift expected to take the field Friday, Johnson said he's optimistic the running back will be able to play Sunday against the Jets. Kyle Monangai could be in line to handle a bigger slice of the pie in the backfield on the short week.
D'Andre Swift — Questionable
After the Bears held a walkthrough Wednesday, Swift wasn't included on the team's first Week 4 injury report, so his addition to it one day later could mean he sustained the issue on the practice field. In any case, his status now will be monitored closely to get a sense of his odds to suit up Sunday versus the Jets. If Swift isn't able to go or is at all inhibited, fellow RB Kyle Monangai could be in line for a significant boost in touches and snaps.
D'Andre Swift — Active
Facing the team he suited up for back in 2023, Swift had a nifty nine-yard run on the Bears' opening possession, but he otherwise found running room at a premium for the next two-plus quarters. However, Swift got it going late to help ice Chicago's impressive win, rattling off 23 yards on the first three plays of the Bears' final drive and then closing things out with a 15-yard tackle-breaking scamper on fourth-and-1 on the first play after the two-minute warning. Swift has eclipsed 80 rushing yards in two of the first three games of the campaign and will take an average of 4.7 yards per carry into a Week 4 home matchup against the Jets on Sunday.
