Dayo Odeyingbo — Injured Reserve
Odeyingbo had already been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons, and he'll now be required to miss at least the next four contests. The 27-year-old is second on the team with 3.0 sacks this season. His placement on injured reserve coupled with Montez Sweat's PED suspension is a big hit to the Bears' pass rush.
Dayo Odeyingbo — Out
Head coach Ben Johnson told reporters earlier in the week that Odeyingbo was considered a long shot to play in Week 6 after the sixth-year pro picked up a quad injury against the Packers in Week 5. Odeyingbo's next chance to play is Week 7 against the Patriots, although that game takes place on Thursday Night Football, so he won't have the normal full week to progress in his recovery. Daniel Hardy and James Lynch are both candidates to start opposite Austin Booker at defensive end for as long as Odeyingbo is sidelined.
Dayo Odeyingbo — Doubtful
After exiting Sunday's loss to the Packers with the quad injury, Odeyingbo won't practice Wednesday and is likely to be officially ruled out for this weekend's matchup with the Falcons following Friday's session. With Montez Sweat (suspension) also out for the next two contests, the Bears will likely turn to Daniel Hardy and James Lynch to handle more snaps on the edge opposite Austin Booker.
Dayo Odeyingbo — Questionable
Odeyingbo suffered a quad injury during the second half of Sunday's contest and was listed as questionable to return. After further inspection, the defensive end's chances of returning to the contest are even slimmer, meaning it will likely not happen.
Dayo Odeyingbo — Questionable
Odeyingbo suffered a quad injury in the second half. If he doesn't return Sunday, Austin Booker and Daniel Hardy should see more snaps the rest of the way.
