T.J. Hockenson — Active
The veteran tight end scored Minnesota's only TD of the afternoon, connecting with Kyler Murray on a five-yard score early in the fourth quarter. Hockenson has seen more than five targets just once in six contests this season, and he'll take a 27-237-2 line on 32 targets into a potential revenge game in Week 8 against the Lions.
T.J. Hockenson — Active
With the benefit of a Week 6 bye, Hockenson has cleared the concussion protocol after suffering a head injury in the Vikings' last game in Week 5 at New Orleans. He'll be available Sunday along with WRs Justin Jefferson (ankle) and Jordan Addison (hamstring) for QB Kyler Murray.
T.J. Hockenson — Questionable
Hockenson is inching closer to clearing the protocol for head injuries after sustaining a concussion during the Vikings' Week 5 win at New Orleans. At the very least, he must gain clearance from an independent neurologist in order to suit up again Sunday against the Colts.
T.J. Hockenson — Questionable
In the wake of suffering a concussion during a Week 5 win in New Orleans, Hockenson had the benefit of a Week 6 bye and took advantage of it, but a full practice Wednesday doesn't necessarily mean he's out of the protocol for head injuries just yet. He'll need to gain clearance from an independent neurologist in order to be able to play Sunday against the Colts.
T.J. Hockenson — Questionable
Hockenson suffered a concussion on the Vikings' opening possession of a Week 5 win in New Orleans, but with the benefit of an early-season bye in Week 6, the tight end may not miss any additional time due to the injury. Wednesday's activity level will serve as Hockenson's baseline as he works his way through the protocol for head injuries ahead of Sunday's game against the Colts.
Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson suffers concussion against Saints
The Vikings' injury-ravaged offense absorbed another blow when tight end T.J. Hockenson suffered a concussion on the second play of their game against the Saints.
T.J. Hockenson — Questionable
After recording a seven-yard reception on the Vikings' opening possession, Hockenson immediately headed to the locker room to get checked for a head injury. With Minnesota confirming that he has sustained a concussion, Hockenson will be shut down for the rest of the afternoon and will now be subject to the NFL's five-step protocol. Minnesota is on bye in Week 6, so Hockenson's next chance to play will come against the Colts on Oct. 25.
T.J. Hockenson — Questionable
Hockenson remained on the turf at the end of a seven-yard catch in the first quarter and went directly to the sideline tent afterward. If Hockenson isn't able to reenter the contest, Gavin Bartholomew and Ben Yurosek represent the Vikings' remaining available tight ends.
T.J. Hockenson — Active
The veteran tight end emerged as Kyler Murray's favorite target in the absence of Justin Jefferson (ankle), and as a result Hockenson produced his first game with 100-plus yards since 2024, when he popped for a 7-114-0 line against the Bears in Week 12. Hockenson came into Sunday with just 76 receiving yards, so he could have trouble repeating the performance even if Jefferson misses another game, but Murray had success feeding the ball to Trey McBride last year with Arizona as well -- McBride posted a 29-275-1 line on 42 targets during the five games they were in the lineup together. Hockenson will look to keep rolling in a Week 5 road trip to New Orleans.
T.J. Hockenson — Active
Hockenson's 2026 campaign has gotten off to a reasonably productive start, as the veteran tight end has posted a 9-76-1 line on 13 targets through three games. While Hockenson didn't reap any tangible benefit from Jefferson's early exit during the Week 3 win over the Buccaneers -- the former recorded two receptions for 11 yards on four targets -- there's a possibility he's a lot more involved against a Dolphins team that's surrendered 15 receptions for 210 yards and two touchdowns to tight ends, along with an 88.2 percent catch rate.
T.J. Hockenson — Active
Hockenson struggled along with the entire Vikings offense in the contest. The team relied on a single explosive rush and a single explosive pass play over the entire 60-minute game. Quarterback Kyler Murray was unable to stoke much of a passing attack against the Buccaneers, relying on a 41-yard touchdown to Jordan Addison for nearly a quarter of his passing yards on the night.
