Antoine Winfield Jr. — Active
Winfield has been sidelined for the Buccaneers' last three games while nursing a rib injury. He showed enough progression in his recovery to log a full practice Wednesday, which puts him on track to play against the Falcons on Sunday. Winfield should reclaim his starting role at safety, so Ifeatu Melifonwu figures to revert to a rotational role in the secondary.

Antoine Winfield Jr. — Out
Winfield was back on the practice field for Week 7 prep and was a limited participant in all three sessions. However, he has not been given the green light to return Sunday, so his next chance to suit up is Week 8 against the Falcons on Sunday, Nov. 1. Ifeatu Melifonwu figures to once again start alongside Tykee Smith at safety in Winfield's absence.
Antoine Winfield Jr. — Questionable
Winfield has been out for the Buccaneers' last two games because of a rib injury he sustained back in Week 4 versus the Packers, but he was able to get back on the practice field for the first time since then Wednesday. He'll still probably need to manage a full practice Thursday or Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.
Antoine Winfield Jr. — Out
Winfield was unable to practice for a second week in a row after sustaining a rib injury in the Buccaneers' Week 4 loss to the Packers. Ifeatu Melifonwu will once again replace the star safety as he continues to recover.
Antoine Winfield Jr. — Doubtful
Winfield suffered a rib fracture in Week 4 against the Packers, and he was sidelined for the team's Week 5 win over the Cowboys as a result. The safety has now opened the week on the sidelines at practice, and he'll have two more chances to return to the field prior to Sunday's matchup with the Steelers. If Winfield remains sidelined in Week 6, Ifeatu Melifonwu would stand to draw a second consecutive start at free safety.

Per Jenna Laine of ESPN.com, Winfield is expected to miss two to four weeks due to a "slight rib fracture" that he sustained during the Buccaneers' loss to the Packers this past Sunday. It's unclear whether he needs a stint on IR, but as long as he's sidelined, Ifeatu Melifonwu figures to start alongside Tykee Smith at safety.
Antoine Winfield Jr. — Out
Bowles officially ruled Winfield out for Thursday's game against the Cowboys, and the seventh-year safety seemingly faces an uphill battle to make it back for a Week 6 matchup with the Steelers on Oct. 18 after suffering the rib injury in Sunday's 17-14 loss to the Packers. Through Tampa Bay's first four games, Winfield had 24 tackles and one forced fumble. Ifeatu Melifonwu is slated to replace Winfield in the starting lineup in Week 5.
