Injury & Status History

Azeez Al-Shaair — Active
Al-Shaair battled a knee injury during Week 7 prep but seemed to be fine Sunday, as he played every one of Houston's defensive snaps. The veteran linebacker has been a consistent producer this season, logging at least seven stops in each of the six contests in which he's played. Al-Shaair posted 103 tackles over 16 regular-season games last year, and he's on pace to easily surpass that mark with 58 stops through six contests this season.
Azeez Al-Shaair — Active
Al-Shaair was a full participant in Friday's practice. The middle linebacker managed to improve his practice participation in each Week 7 prep session, and the Texans' defensive signal caller is all set to suit up for Sunday's game.

Azeez Al-Shaair listed Active.
Azeez Al-Shaair — Questionable
This is good news for Al-Shaair after he was a non-participant in practice Wednesday. The veteran linebacker may, however, need to log a full practice session Friday to avoid a designation entering the weekend. Al-Shaair has once again been a central component of the Texans' defense this season, logging double-digit tackles in three of his five contests so far.
Azeez Al-Shaair — Questionable
Al-Shaair briefly exited the Texans' Week 6 win over the Jaguars in London, however, it was for him to be evaluated for a concussion. There was no indication during the game, but the linebacker likely sustained the knee injury in the London victory. It remains to be seen if Wednesday's absence was partially vet rest or if the defensive signal caller is dealing with a more serious issue that could keep him out of the Week 7 game against the Giants.
Azeez Al-Shaair — Active
Al-Shaair was being evaluated by medical staff for a possible concussion in the second quarter. The veteran linebacker has passed all the benchmarks and will be back on the field for the second half of Sunday's contest in London.
Azeez Al-Shaair — Questionable
Al-Shaair was shaken up during Bhayshul Tuten's 27-yard touchdown catch midway through the second quarter. If Al-Shaair ends up being ruled out for the rest of Sunday's contest, the Texans will turn to Jake Hansen and Henry To'oTo'o to step up in his absence.

Azeez Al-Shaair — Active
Al-Shaair ended Week 5 prep with a full practice Friday, which was enough for him to avoid an injury tag and return from a one-game absence due to a groin injury. He'll return to a starting role next to fellow linebackers Jake Hansen and Aiden Fisher, with Wade Woodaz and Jamal Hill providing depth at the position.
Azeez Al-Shaair — Active
Azeez Al-Shaair listed Active.
Azeez Al-Shaair — Questionable
Al-Shaair didn't practice in any capacity last week before he was ruled out ahead of Sunday's loss to the Cowboys. The veteran linebacker is taking a notable step forward by opening Week 5 prep as a limited participant, and if he can upgrade to full activity by Friday, he should be cleared to play this weekend against the Titans.
Azeez Al-Shaair — Out
Al-Shaair suffered a groin injury in the 19-17 loss to the Colts in Week 3. Head coach DeMeco Ryans stated Wednesday that the 29-year-old is considered "week-to-week," meaning his absence could extend beyond Sunday's intrastate meeting with the Cowboys. As a result, Wade Woodaz (ankle/thumb), who logged a career-high 17 snaps versus Indianapolis, could continue to be more involved.
Azeez Al-Shaair — Doubtful
Al-Shaair was able to return to action in Week 3 after checking out of the game with the groin injury, but his outlook for Week 4 is now up in the air. He'll probably have to practice in full Thursday or Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.
