Deebo Samuel Sr. — Questionable
All three of Mike Evans (Achilles), Samuel and Demarcus Robinson (ankle) are eyeing a Week 9 return against the Raiders, so the 49ers' wide receiver depth chart could look vastly different coming out of the bye. Samuel would likely go back to his part-time role, handling short-area passes and an occasional handoff or two. He's not a particularly exciting fantasy play when Evans, George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) are all healthy.
Deebo Samuel Sr. — Out
Samuel was always expected to miss multiple games, with the real question being whether he's ready after a Week 8 bye. He hasn't resumed practicing and will now miss a second straight game, which leaves Jordan Watkins, Brandin Cooks, Jacob Cowing and Christian Kirk (calf) as San Francisco's top WR options in the absence of Mike Evans (out - Achilles).
Deebo Samuel Sr. — Out
The 49ers are coming off a Monday Night Football win and therefore are not holding an official practice Wednesday. That being said, coach Kyle Shanahan said that Samuel would not be practicing. Samuel is working his way back from a hamstring injury, and the sense is that a return after the 49ers' Week 8 bye is more realistic at this stage.
Deebo Samuel Sr. — Out
It was reported earlier in the week that Samuel would miss multiple weeks; however, the 49ers are stopping short of placing him on injured reserve for the time being due to how the schedule sets up. Samuel is set to miss at least the Week 6 game against the Commanders and likely the following game against the Falcons before the team gets a bye. Week 9 seems to be the earliest potential return date for the veteran.
Shanahan says 49ers WR Deebo Samuel to miss time with hamstring injury
49ers WR Deebo Samuel is expected to miss "at least a couple of weeks" with the hamstring injury he suffered Sunday in Seattle, coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday.
Deebo Samuel Sr. — Out
Samuel underwent an MRI on his hamstring following Sunday's game, and the results showed an injury significant enough for the veteran wide receiver to miss multiple weeks. Given the timeline laid out by Shanahan, Samuel looks set to sit out in Week 6 against the Commanders and Week 7 in Atlanta before potentially returning following the team's Week 8 bye. Shanahan indicated that Christian Kirk (calf) won't be ready to return from injured reserve this week, so the 49ers likely will head into the matchup with Washington with Mike Evans, Brandin Cooks, Jacob Cowing and Jordan Watkins as their available options at receiver.
Deebo Samuel Sr. — Questionable
Samuel sustained the injury with 5:06 remaining in the third quarter, when he was tripped up by a Seattle defender and landed awkwardly while fumbling the football as he fell to the ground. The upcoming MRI will shed more light on the severity of the hamstring issue, but Rapoport notes that the fact that the 49ers ruled Samuel out of Sunday's game immediately is a foreboding sign. If Samuel ends up sitting out Week 6 against the Commanders next Monday, the 49ers would be left with Mike Evans, Brandin Cooks, Jacob Cowing and Jordan Watkins as their healthy options at receiver.
49ers lose WR Deebo Samuel to hamstring injury vs. Seahawks
The 49ers ruled out Deebo Samuel due to a hamstring injury in the third quarter, leaving San Francisco with just three healthy wideouts to finish Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks.
Deebo Samuel Sr. — Questionable
Samuel exited Sunday's contest in the third quarter. The wide receiver caught two of his three targets for 21 yards and rushed twice for four yards before being ruled out. Mike Evans, Brandin Cooks, Jacob Cowing and Jordan Watkins are the four active wideouts remaining for the 49ers in Sunday's game.

Deebo Samuel Sr. — Active
Samuel was able to reach the end zone for the second straight week, reeling in a one-yard touchdown from quarterback Brock Purdy in the third quarter. The wide receiver went without a target in Week 3, but he has now registered at least four targets in each of the team's other three contests. Samuel has now caught 14 of 17 targets for 185 yards and three touchdowns while adding seven rushes for 74 yards and 231 yards as a kick returner over four games in 2026.
Deebo Samuel Sr. — Active
Samuel started off his day with a bang, receiving a lateral from fellow wideout Mike Evans during a hook-and-ladder play by San Francisco in the first quarter, taking off down the sideline for an 80-yard score. Samuel failed to catch a pass and didn't garner a target for the first time in three games this year, but he still found a way to make the most of limited opportunities. Evans suffered a rib/oblique injury in the second quarter of the victory, and if he's sidelined moving forward, Samuel will stand to operate as the team's No. 1 option at wide receiver.
