Injury & Status History
A running log of this player's status changes — each entry links to the original source.
Travis Kelce — Questionable
Kelce logged a full practice Wednesday, so the tight end's listed limitations a day later make his status for Sunday's game against the Broncos worth monitoring. He also was limited in practice last week but ended up approaching his team's 20-3 loss to Seattle (in which he caught four of his eight targets for 44 yards) without an injury designation.
Travis Kelce — Active
Kelce increased his career total to 1,104 regular-season catches, passing Hall of Famers Marvin Harrison (1,102) and Cris Carter (1,101) to move up to fifth on the all-time list. Jason Witten holds the fourth spot with 1,228 receptions, so Kelce is more likely to be caught by Keenan Allen (1,084) than Kelce is to catch Witten. Kelce led the Chiefs with eight targets in the absence of WR Rashee Rice (hamstring/knee) and tied fellow TE Noah Gray for the team lead in receiving yards as Kansas City mustered just three Harrison Butker field-goal attempts on offense, two of which missed. This was only the second time Kelce failed to reach the 50-yard threshold in six appearances this season. He had 71 yards in Week 1 against the Broncos, whom the Chiefs will face in a Week 8 road rematch.
Travis Kelce — Active
Despite logging limited practices all week, Kelce is good to go for Sunday's trip to hostile Seattle. Particularly with Rashee Rice (hamstring) still sidelined for the Chiefs, Kelce projects as Patrick Mahomes' safety valve over the middle of the field. Kelce has 20 grabs for 299 yards and two touchdowns on 29 targets through five games this season.
Travis Kelce — Active
Kelce has operated with a cap on his reps for the Chiefs' first two practices of Week 7, but as long as he's able to maintain limited activity or upgrade to full participation Friday, he should be in good position to play Sunday in Seattle. With top wideout Rashee Rice (hamstring/knee) remaining sidelined for Thursday's practice and perhaps trending toward another missed game in Week 7, Kelce could be a candidate to take on more volume than usual in the Kansas City passing attack if he's not too hindered by the ankle issue.
Travis Kelce — Questionable
After a quick start to the season with a 14-231-2 line on 18 targets through the first three games, Kelce has taken a step back over the last two appearances (6-68-0 on nine targets). With an ankle injury now in tow, his status will be watched as the week goes on to get a sense of his availability for Sunday's contest at Seattle.
Travis Kelce — Active
Kelce was able to exceed two receptions for the first time since Week 2, finishing second on the team in targets and catches behind wide receiver Xavier Worthy, who caught all seven of his targets for 73 yards. Kelce has now reeled in 20 of 27 targets for 299 yards and two touchdowns over five contests to open the 2026 campaign.
Travis Kelce — Active
Kelce was surprisingly quiet in this battle between AFC West rivals that both entered the game with 3-0 records. This was the second consecutive game in which Kelce was held to two catches, but he was averaging 77 receiving yards per game prior to Sunday's 15-yard performance. He will celebrate his 37th birthday Monday and will have a chance to rest up during a Week 5 bye before the Chiefs return to action in Week 6 against the Chargers.
Travis Kelce — Active
Kelce notched a 48-yard gain on the game's opening play and added an 11-yard touchdown catch with 2:55 remaining in the fourth quarter. Despite Kelce's lack of involvement as a pass catcher in between those two plays, he finished second on the team in receiving yards behind Rashee Rice, who turned nine targets into 88 yards. Heading into a Week 4 road game against the Raiders, Kelce has compiled 14 catches for 231 yards and two touchdowns on 18 targets.
