Mavericks exercise 2027-28 option on Zaccharie Risacher deal
The Mavericks exercised the fourth-year team option in forward Zaccharie Risacher's contract, guaranteeing his $17.4 million salary next season.
Zaccharie Risacher — Day-To-Day
Risacher was initially tagged as questionable due to right hip soreness, but the third-year pro is trending in the right direction of Saturday's contest. Cooper Flagg (shoulder) has already been ruled out, and with Kyrie Irving (knee) now doubtful, Risacher and the other Mavericks role players are in line for more responsibilities against the Spurs.

Risacher salvaged what was otherwise a disappointing performance, recording a career-high five steals. The jury is still out when it comes to Risacher's projected value, although most are beginning to lose patience. He will get an opportunity to turn things around in Dallas, but will need to offer more on the offensive end, should he wish to play a consistent role. Assuming the steals are more of an anomaly than a regular occurrence, he remains a stream-level player only at this point.
